The Journey of Our Generation workshop and other cultural activities are facilitated by a team of Cowichan Elders, some of whom are Residential School Survivors, Indian Hospital Survivors, Day School Survivors, and Inter-Generational Survivors, who work together with Canadians. Each member of the team represents a part of our shared Canadian story, a part of the healing and is committed to creating a new journey for generations to come. 

 

Our Cowichan Elder facilitators have worked with people of all ages in many coastal communities, including over 12,000 people in our own community. We have facilitated workshops for school and university students of all ages, non-profit and provincial/federal government staff, and community members and have oriented the workshop around specific topics including the education system, climate change and fisheries.
